Hello, world
Why I started this blog and what you'll find here.
Welcome. After telling myself I should make a blog for the past, oh I don’t know ~15 years or so I’ve finally done it. I’ve always been a more of a “do as I say, not as I do” kind of person. And after telling countless other people to make their own sites, i’ve finally followed my own advise and done so.
Why even listen to me?
That’s the fun part, you don’t have to. To most I’m just some random dude on the internet. But I have been in the IT field for ~20 years now, mostly in the MSP world where I put out fires on a daily basis. I take pride in being a generalist rather than a specialist. Afterall, a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.
What this is
I’m using this space for a few different things:
- Blog — personal posts like this one.
- Docs — reference notes on how I do tech stuff.
- Guides — more detailed write ups on different tech stacks. Don’t expect anything crazy here.
- Reviews — I’ve always thought it would be neat to put down my thoughts on various types of media, but don’t expect much here for now.
Each of those lives at its own permanent URL, so once I publish something you’ll always be able to find it at the same address.
